Now Hiring: Summer Help (Full-Time Opportunity for the RIGHT Person)
We’re looking for someone who’s not afraid of hard work, loves being around show cattle, and doesn’t mind a little chaos from a bunch of wild (but awesome) boys. If you’re dependable, detail oriented, and have a “get it done” attitude, you’ll fit right in here.
You’ll Need To:
- Know your way around cattle
- Be respectful, trustworthy, hard-working and dependable
- Work solo, with kids, or with a team — whatever the day calls for
- Keep a positive attitude, even when it’s 85 degrees and the cows aren’t cooperating
- Spot what needs done and make it happen
- Possibly Operate/Drive: Skid, Tractor, Sprayer, Truck & Trailer
You’ll Be Doing:
- Mentoring children – number one thing we do here
- Daily cattle chores: feeding, heat checking, health checks
- Breaking and working with sale calves and or working on elite show cattle
- Feeding, cleaning, checking fixing and building fence, and general farm upkeep
- Helping prep and show cattle at home and at shows
- Laughing (or at least smiling) when the kids “help” a little too much or they ran off to play
Please Don’t Apply If:
- You plan on showing up at 9 AM – no great operation starts at 9 AM
- You are un-willing to bend down, work belly and leg hair
- If you need to be supervised to do things THE RIGHT WAY
- If you are a slob and plan on leaving messes everywhere you go
- If you lie and forget what is being asked of you or feed off drama
